Exmouth Fishing Report
Tantabiddi/Ningaloo Reef Fishing:
Good numbers of squid still being caught on the inside of Ningaloo Reef over weedy patches. Boat hirers have utilised dinghies and drifted over weed patches and catching bag limits of squid.
Red emperors and ruby reds are being caught out the back of Tantabiddi at the 150 mark.
With little swell and no wind about surfers have been doing well at Yardie Creek. Crew have hired the zodiac boat for $80/day between 4 people ($20 each) and have scored good waves at Yardie Creek.
Hire boaters have reported trolling for pelagics has been slow. David took out the 6m polycraft hire boat is pictured with a GT he caught yesterday out off Tantabiddi, but he said it took virtually all day to catch.
Exmouth Gulf & Murion Islands:
Good numbers of Mackeral are still around with boaters reporting good catches of Mackeral out near the Murion Islands.
Still lots of blue manner crabs down the bottom of Exmouth Gulf. Families have gone down and camped at Heron Point and Wapet Creek. A tinny and some pots should see you fine for some crabbing action
Sail fish have also been spotted up around Bundegi with James and his family catching this pic of a sailfish near the Bundegi sanctuary when they hired the 7m forward cabin boat.
